This is a page to show some of the projects under construction, in various states &
forms. Some of my techniques are very basic along with the materials used.
The Dubs A modified Bachmann
chassis, all crank pins were
machined off to narrow the width
of the pistoins etc.
Under side view of chassis
Taking shape! The boiler is PVC pipe
with 1" shaft up the middle for weight.
All other material is styrene, all rivets
are pin heads drilled & glued in place.

The beginning of my first diesel loco, a new cab    Dg. Above blue piece is the only thing used           from the LGB White Pass loco.
Before & after shots of the bogies used on the Dg
Dg 2330 in undercoat & various stages of un-completion! Both ends are
tapered & there are 3 different curvatures on the roof so won't be making
another Dg in a hurry. But am pleased with the result. It is all styrene
construction with hand rails from Mig Welding wire.
Above are the early stages of Q17 with the cowcatcher,
cylinders and tank done. The bars of the cowcatcher
are made from Alloy welding wire flatened at the ends,
  drilled and riveted.
  To the left & above
   are early shots of the
   Q taking shape. This
   model proved to be a
   challenge with it's long
   wheel base length from
   the front driver to the
   bogie under the tender!
   Also that famous
   Rogers fluted sand
   dome cover.

The loco is ready for painting! The whistle & check valves are made out of
plastic knitting needles the funnel was spun up at work out of an old piece of
nylon. Now for the secret of the sand dome it was made from Selleys Need-It
a Polymer repair system from the hardware store, a chocolate mould was used
to get the shape with telcom powder as a release agent. The head-light brackets
were the hardest to do, a fine modelling blade & a deep breath, steady hand &
   no rushing! They were done.
Fresh out of the workshop & ready for a paint job, this 6 wheeled plough will hopefully be a working one!
